Alison is available for: Personal Styling Consultations Keynote Speaker/Facilitator Corporate Workshops & School Presentations Styling photographic shoots (stills & video)
Alison Triffett has over 20 years of experience working in advertising, television, & in her younger days, modelling - so she knows all about “smoke & mirrors” & how image can open doors or slam them shut! She has styled photographic shoots, TV commercials, & presenters of TV shows & has seen first-hand the power of attention to detail & polishing appearances when you really only have seconds to achieve that first impression! Alison has volunteered her services to the Look Good Feel Better program, helping cancer patients deal with the physical changes that occur during treatment – she fully understands from personal experience the power of looking good to really feel better. She conducts private, corporate & school-based workshops teaching the benefits of positive first impressions, wardrobe styling, grooming & deportment. Her Corporate Styling Workshops & presentations teach professionals that it’s just not enough to be “good at what you do” – if the image you project is far from professional, clients & colleagues can quickly lose faith in your abilities. Or worse, you may not even be given the opportunities to show what you really can do! The two must be congruent if success in the workplace is to be achieved. Her School Workshops teach teenagers the self-esteem and confidence benefits of good grooming, body language, skincare and etiquette. She really believes that what matters most is how you see yourself, and conveys this message to all of her students everywhere she goes! The following quote from Audrey Hepburn’s son, Sean Ferrer is a great way to introduce Alison's own style philosophy - finding YOUR signature style as a reflection of who you are on the inside: "Style is a word we use often and for a multitude of purposes. In the case of my mother, it was the extension of an inner beauty held up by a life of discipline, respect for the other and hope in humanity. lf the lines were pure and elegant it was because she believed in the power of simplicity. If there was timelessness it was because she believed in quality and if she still is an icon of style today it is because once she found her look she stayed with it throughout her life. She didn't go with the trends, didn't reinvent herself every season. She loved fashion but kept it as a tool to compliment her look." Sean Ferrer
"IF ONLY I was slimmer. IF only my skin was better. If only I had thicker hair. If only I was taller, richer, smarter, prettier..." The list goes on! Everyone compares themselves to others at some point, but if we don't get comfortable in our own skin & with our own body we will never truly exude confidence & happiness. Alison wants women to discover the benefits of a healthy self-image - to love who they are & what they have got. Because, to her, that's REAL beauty! Physical beauty doesn't always equal self-esteem. Alison says "If being beautiful (whatever that is) means you are super-confident and have great self-esteem, then why do so many beautiful celebrities end up in rehab? My aim is to teach students/clients to accept what they have, dress it right & love what they see, rather than compare themselves to others and unrealistic media images. Alison is passionate about empowering everyone with healthy self-esteem. While true beauty really starts on the inside, learning how to enhance the outside & make the most of what you have provides a huge boost to anyone's self-esteem!
Many of Alison's clients have wardrobes jammed full of clothes yet still feel they have nothing to wear. Some want to reinvent themselves with a fresh new image or feel stuck in a fashion rut & want inspiration - to learn what to put with what, & what NOT to put with anything! Alison's goal is to counsel her clients to help them feel more confident when they hit the shops. To "skill them up" so they can find the cuts/colours/shapes that best suit them & incorporate their individual style & personality into the mix. Being stylish really isn't just about the clothes on your back. It's about the complete picture & starts from the inside (your self-confidence & attitude). It encompasses your posture, body language & grooming from top to toe! Alison can show you how to complete the whole package so you love what you see in that mirror & enjoy taking time to look & feel your very best every day!
Alison says..."I meet many lovely girls during my presentations & I am honoured to be allowed to share a glimpse of their world and help them find their way on their own journey. Teens (and also adults!) often compare themselves & their style to their friends', either losing or gaining confidence in the process. And while friends are EVERYTHING to them it's really important that they also know they have a trusted adult, other than their parents, to whom they can turn for help & advice. During my GO GIRLS! courses (especially the self-esteem workshops) we spend a lot of time in "group therapy" discussing politics - group politics that is! Working out ways of finding where you belong & what real friends actually look like! For me, that's one of my most rewarding workshops - we share our experiences & learn practical problem-solving tools for life."...Alison Throw into the mix, all the girly stuff like skincare, makeup, posture, body language, etiquette, wardrobe style-counselling, hair & nail-care, diet & exercise, & you've got the complete package! An insurance policy against low self-esteem - a chance to find out who they really are on the inside while they work out what style they want to project on the outside! It's ALL ABOUT THEM! And they're worth it! |
