A Shopaholics Resource, complete with Sales Calenders, Discount Codes and all things shopping! Visit this fantastic site to read my latest column - my answers to reader's style dilemmas! OK...I CONFESS! I have been hitting the shops again a bit lately. I just spent 4 days shopping at Chermside Shopping centre for new additions to the wardrobes of the lovely young presenters of The Shak. I'm trying to keep some of my latest purchases a secret from hubby though, so please don't tell him! "It was all for work" I promise! Here's a quick report of just some of my favourite shopping haunts: LITTLE JOE N.Y by Gail Elliott - James Street Thank you to Jane for dressing me in that gorgeous little caramel silk number for my recent TV shopping-shoot with Sofie Formica from Channel Seven's the Great South East. It was exactly my signature colour, & I have fallen in love with this beautiful new boutique, full of exceptional pieces in fabulous fabrics. If you haven't already seen the store, it's a MUST VISIT. Off you go! What are you waiting for! And tell them Style Counsel sent you! Don't miss out - add a beautiful piece of silk luxury to your wardrobe at reduced prices NOW! Watch this space for more exciting news from LITTLE JOE LA SCARPA - The Emporium: Check out the gorgeous array of frocks for summer. Rosie and Deb have some beautiful pieces at reasonable prices - just the place to visit if you're looking for something special to wear to any special occasion - my clients love this little gem - and so do I! Keep it simple and all it takes is a change of accessories to reinvent the look many times over...now that's smart shopping! COVERS - The Emporium: While scouting around for Channel Seven's Great South East shoot, I also discovered the lovely new spring range at Covers. I fell in love with a few pieces (don't worry dear husband, I resisted temptation that time, but I can't guarantee for how long!). Now, what can my next excuse be for adding these little beauties to my wardrobe? Hmm...leave it with me...I'm sure I'll come up with something... JEAN BROWN - The Emporium: Oh my goodness...this store has a Style Counsel drool factor of 10! I wish! I dream! This is THE store to visit to immerse yourself in high-end designer label leather bags, shoes & accessories. Designer fakes (yuk!) are really shown up for what they are (FAKE) when you see & feel the quality of products at this stunning store. While even the fabulous pieces on sale are sadly still out of my price range (dammit!) you really should visit the store to get a feel for what quality really is. And if you're lucky enough to be able to buy your dream bag/shoes, my tip is to stick with a timeless classic shapes & colour so you can enjoy your investment for many years to come. I'd better stop right here - I could get into trouble! I promised hubby I was "just looking" for clients...if he reads this, my secrets may be exposed....Shhhh!! Alison has been happily shopping on Strawberrynet for years! She can personally vouch for the quality, service & reliability. She has never had a problem with any of her purchases - each order has not only saved her money, but they have all arrived time (4 - 6 working days without fail) with no-questions asked return policies & beautifully gift-wrapped with a card. She was so impressed, she just had to share this not-so-secret secret with her loyal clients...click on the links above & start shopping. You will be VERY glad you did! Classics are timeless & can be worn year in year out without going out of style. If you are building a wardrobe it's best to start out by investing in these classic pieces. Don't be afraid to splurge on classics - they will be well worth the investment. Your wardrobe should be made up of...60% investment pieces (classics!), 20% basics and 20% fashion/trend items. Sadly, many women reverse this equation & then wonder why they look outdated or have a wardrobe full of "stuff" they just never wear! (If that sounds like you, perhaps a Wardrobe Workout is in order!)
