Classics
Classic pieces are timeless and can be worn year in year out without going out of style. If you are building a wardrobe it's best to start out by investing in these classic pieces. Don't be afraid to splurge on classics - they will be well worth the investment.
Knee-High Boots - Not only WARM, they add just the right touch to a plain outfit. Wear with short or long skirts or cas them down with jeans.
A Little Black Dress - I know, nothing new here! The little black dress is a staple - dress it up with diamonds and pearls or dress it down with a denim jacket and a vintage pin. It works in summer with strappy heels and a fake tan (the real thing is so not healthy!) or in winter with those knee-high boots I just mentioned! And if you don't know what to wear on first date, you can't go wrong with your little black dress!
Luxury Bag - Luxury bags will last for years (please note, I didn't say it has to be a "designer" label, and I certainly don't mean the latest "it" designer replica either!). A great bag instantly dresses up any outfit making your look more "put together". Invest in a bag that has a simple shape with no designs or patterns. Be sure the material is rich leather and the shape is classic - go for double handles if you can.
Simple Tailored Suit - Great for important last minute meetings or unexpected interviews for your dream job. A dark or neutral coloured suit is best, in either a skirt or pants combo. You can then mix and match the jacket with jeans any time to get more wear out of the suit.
High Heels - Shoes can make or break any outfit, and every girl needs at least one pair of sexy heels. Invest in a pair of quality shoes in a classic shape (my personal faves? Slingbacks!) and they will last a lifetime.
