Alison's styling journey began many years ago while working at an Advertising agency,
casting models for TV commercial. She
reluctantly gave in to pressure from the Elite Academy to join their
agency herself while continuing to work in both Advertising &
subsequently TV. Her
modelling career spanned almost 10 years with appearances in numerous TV
& print commercials, & during this time she was also invited to join
Elite's teaching staff to share her TV industry experience & natural
grooming & deportment skills. Alison has styled TV commercials,
presenters &
publicity shoots & completed Beauty Diplomas with both Helena
Rubenstein & Lancome.
After
relocating to Brisbane in 1995 with her husband & two young children,
but still keen to return to the industry she
knew so well, she joined the Production team at Channel Seven
working on The Great South East, Creek
to Coast, Queensland Weekender
& Seven News. During this time she also coordinated the
Seven News Schools Program, Operation Eagle, enjoying weekly
chopper rides to many of Brisbane's Primary schools with colleague &
good friend
Tony Johnston.
Her most recent media & corporate work includes styling the four gorgeous presenters of the top-rating Channel Nine Children's TV program, "The Shak"; Sofie Formica from Channel Seven's Great South East; along with Melissa Downes, Wally Lewis, Bruce Paige & Ian Healy from Channel Nine. Other Corporate clients include Queensland Business Women, GBST, ENERTRADE, Northwest Private Hospital, Dalton Nicol Reid, ANZ, Aussieprom.com, All Hallows, Corpus Christi College, Hair Harmony & Fred & Ginger.

Alison is passionate about the powerful effect of looking your best to feel better. It is the result of this firm belief & first-hand knowledge of the power of this philosophy that compelled her to volunteer her services to the Look Good Feel Better program, helping cancer patients deal with the physical changes that occur during treatment
Alison facilitates GO GIRLS! Workshops & School Formal Preparation at Brisbane schools. Alison continues to run her very popular small-group courses with private clients & is frequently called upon as a Speaker at both corporate & private luncheons & fundraising events, Alison also conducts her own full-day seminars "Spend the Day with your Personal Stylist - It's All About You!" & due to popular demand is hoping to increase the frequency of these events in 2008.
Through her Style Counsel Workshops, Corporate Seminars, All About YOU Seminars & Wardrobe Workouts & Personal Styling Consultations Alison continues to share her industry knowledge & passion for good grooming. Her aim is to inspire her clients to embrace their own personal style, enhance their best features & polish their image, while growing in self-confidence with healthy self-esteem.

ALISON'S STYLE PHILOSOPHY
The following quote from Audrey Hepburn’s son, Sean Ferrer is a great way to describe Alison's style philosophy - this is the same line of thought behind her All About YOU presentations - finding YOUR own signature style as a reflection of who you are on the inside:
"Style is a word we use often and for a multitude of purposes. In the case of my mother, it was the extension of an inner beauty held up by a life of discipline, respect for the other and hope in humanity. lf the lines were pure and elegant it was because she believed in the power of simplicity.
